Landscape Theme:

Choose from these popular Landscape Themes:

SOUTHWESTERN: A combination of native desert plants with the addition of blooming shrubs and wildflowers. The look is natural and unintentional. A popular theme for the desert southwest.

NATIVE DESERT: Native trees and shrubs that require little or no maintenance. Cactus and desert accent plants can be added for color, while natural rock or boulders provide interest. This is also known as "xeriscaping" and is an excellent theme for arid zones.

MEDITERRANEAN: This theme is popular in California and provides year-round color. Plants include palm trees, citrus trees, yuccas, agaves and colorful accent plants such as bougainvilleas.

TRANSITIONAL: This theme is between the green mini-oasis and the truly low or no-water landscape. It blends plants that are found in a well tended, high-water use landscape with low-water use plants and grasses from the desert southwest.

CONTAINER: This theme is based on the Mexican patio filled with pots containing a variety of plants. The container garden is especially practical in places where the ground soil won't support plants. Decorative pots provide interesting design elements.
